8 Speed Automatic Transmission
Provides extremely fast synchronized shifting. By increasing the number of gears to eight, the transmission provides a more efficient shifting sequence and improved fuel economy. Includes Adaptive Transmission Control (ATC) with Sport and Manual shift modes and steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters. When in Sport mode, shifts can be generated via the console-mounted shift lever or the paddle shifters. Surround View
Displays video images of approaching traffic on the Control Display. Side-view cameras positioned in the front bumpers show traffic approaching the front of the vehicle from the sides, such as when exiting a garage. The top-view camera provides video images of the road alongside the doors, taken by cameras positioned in the exterior mirrors.
Active Blind Spot Detection
Looking forward isn't just a metaphor for our insatiable desire to innovate. It's also quite literal. The available Active Blind Spot Detection system helps eliminate blind spots to avoid collisions when changing lanes. Using radar sensors at the rear of the vehicle to monitor the traffic behind it, this system alerts drivers if a vehicle is in their blind spot by displaying a light on their side-view mirror housings. And on the chance the driver does not notice the warning and signals to indicate changing lanes, the light on the mirror housing begins to flash and the steering wheel vibrates.
Active Driving Assistant
Active Driving Assistant brings the latest safety technologies to drivers with features like Lane Departure Warning, Frontal Collision Warning, City Collision Mitigation and Pedestrian Warning. Lane Departure Warning alerts the driver when he or she is about to exit a lane unintentionally or when approaching the curb. The driver is alerted by a vibration in the steering wheel so drivers can respond accordingly. Frontal Collision Warning prevents collisions by warning the driver when approaching a vehicle ahead too quickly. The driver is alerted by an optical warning and an additional alarm. In addition, City Collision Mitigation helps prevents collisions by priming the brake system to reduce stopping distance. Pedestrian Warning has the same functionality but specifically prevents pedestrian collisions.
Full Color Head-Up Display
Projects important travel information, such as vehicle speed and check control warnings, onto the windshield directly in your field of vision. For the first time, all Head-Up Display data is shown in full color, making information more precise and easier to process.
