Chassis and Suspension
The F-TYPE has a lightweight aluminum body structure with high torsional rigidity, making it the ideal platform for a sports car. This strong, rigid structure provides an inherently stable platform for precise, agile handling, and is the perfect complement to the high-performance engine range.
Carbon Ceramic Matrix Brakes
Derived from motorsport technology, the optional Carbon Ceramic Matrix Braking system is available on F-TYPE S Automatic transmission, R and SVR models. It is the highest performance braking system ever fitted to a Jaguar road car, and features 6-piston front and 4-piston rear brake calipers and exclusive 20-inch forged alloy wheels.
Torque Vectoring by Braking
The F-TYPE offers superb handling, feel, grip and control. It has all the inherent duality of everyday usability with the character of an out-and-out sports car. By applying controlled independent braking of the individual, inside front and rear wheels, Torque Vectoring adds to the turning forces acting on the car. The result is increased steering performance and even greater driver confidence.

The responsive electrically assisted steering of the F-TYPE is designed to provide the most direct connection between your hands on the wheel and the road. Its quick 14.6:1 steering ratio delivers precise reactions to driver input.

Rear Lights

Intuitive Visual Controls
Easily select climate control, GPS navigation, audio choices or Bluetooth® telephone connectivity on the crisp color 8-inch Touch-screen in the F-TYPE center console. Manage multimedia connections on the screen, including iPod® or MP3 players. Select details of playlists and music displayed by artist, album and genre. The Touch-screen also controls the Configurable Dynamics System on S and R models.
Jaguar InControl® Apps™
Jaguar InControl® Apps™ connects your smartphone with the Touch-screen in your vehicle, meaning you can stay connected to your smartphone even while in the car. InControl Apps enables you to control compatible apps on the Touch-screen in your F-TYPE, allowing convenient use of apps that have been optimized specifically for use within your vehicle.
Configurable Lighting
Push the start button and the F-TYPE comes alive with a cascade of light from the console’s switchgear. Configurable Lighting, standard on the F-TYPE S, F-TYPE R and SVR, adds unique personalization, with choices of Phosphor Blue, Pale Blue, White, Coral or Red to suit your mood. Activate Dynamic Mode and the lighting switches to vibrant Red on the door grab handles, center console and instrument cluster.
Active Center Air Vents
To keep the center console as low and sleek as possible, the F-TYPE features Active Center Air Vents. They are activated automatically by the climate control system, and only rise when needed for extra airflow, retracting when not in use.

Blind Spot Monitor
The Blind Spot Monitor, part of the optional Premium + Vision and Vision Packages, is designed to help alert you to the presence of a vehicle in an adjacent lane by providing a warning indicator in the exterior rearview mirror. Closing Vehicle Sensing tells you if vehicles are approaching from behind at speeds that might make changing lanes more dangerous.
Occupant Safety
Two front airbags and two side airbags help provide added reassurance for you and your passenger. Sensors detect the size and weight of the driver and passenger, and direct the front airbags to deploy appropriately. Advanced seatbelt pretensioners automatically tighten the seatbelts when they sense rapid deceleration.
Assisted Parking
Part of the optional Premium + Vision Package on the F-TYPE Premium and S, and Vision Package on the F-TYPE R, front and rear parking aids with audible warnings are designed to alert you of the presence of nearby objects. Graphics on the central Touch-screen provide information about their location in relation to the vehicle. For added convenience, the Reverse Park Camera, also part of the packages, transmits video to the 8-inch Touch-screen.
Emergency Brake Assist (EBA)
By monitoring how quickly you depress the brake pedal, the standard Emergency Brake Assist is designed to increase brake pressure in order to help shorten stopping distances. This system can also help the driver retain steering control under these severe braking conditions.
