The 201-hp 1.8-liter four in the C250 combines numerous advances and turbocharging to deliver more torque from less fuel, with cleaner emissions. Rapid-multispark ignition can fire up to four times per millisecond, while high-pressure Direct Injection can fine-tune fuel spray in 0.1 millisecond, reducing emissions, fuel consumption and noise. A lightweight diecast-alloy block, widely variable valve timing, reduced friction, and clever "on-demand'' ancillary components further boost efficiency.
7-Speed Automatic Transmission
The industry's first 7-speed automatic is smooth, responsive and efficient. Agility Control suspension
Engineered specifically for performance driving, AGILITY CONTROL automatically adjusts the individual shock absorbers based on the road surface and the driver's current driving style. Valving inside each shock absorber automatically firms up during stronger body motions for sharper handling feedback and stability, and reduces the damping rates during gentler motions for a smoother, more composed ride.

Seat Belt Technology

If a collision exceeds a preset threshold, ETDs instantly remove slack from the seat belts.
