"Hot Inside V" Twin-Scroll Turbochargers
A pair of turbos nests inside the "V" of the engine, to send their compressed charge from each turbo to its bank of cylinders via an extremely short path, with near-zero pressure loss or turbo lag. Large, twin-scroll turbos further boost performance and responsiveness, with parallel flow and dual exhaust ducts to optimize cylinder charging and scavenging. The setup is also highly efficient, with liquid-cooled intercoolers and close-mounted catalysts that reach peak efficiency in seconds.

Heated Steering Wheel

Power Executive Rear Seats With Memory
4-way power reclining outboard seats let rear passengers ride in first-class comfort. In addition to power cushion angle adjustment, the seatbacks recline up to 43 degrees without reducing legroom. Each seat also includes a memory system and power calf rest. The right seat adds a power footrest, plus rear-cabin controls for the right-front seat. This feature lets you expand your legroom by moving the unoccupied front seat forward by an additional three inches, and tilting its seatback.

Collision Prevention Assist Plus
Radar-based technology can alert you if you're approaching a vehicle ahead, or even some stationary objects, at a speed and distance that suggest a collision is likely. As soon as you start to brake, it can automatically provide an appropriate level of braking to help prevent a collision or reduce its severity. If you fail to respond, it can also initiate braking automatically at a range of driving speeds. The system can also detect and react to crossing pedestrians at typical city speeds.
Car-To-X Communication
Every GLA uses radar to help spot hazards in your path, alert you, and even start braking to help reduce collisions. It can alert you if you seem to be getting drowsy behind the wheel. And a rearview camera makes backing up easier.

Adaptive Highbeam Assist uses continuous input from a camera to automatically vary the range of your headlamps, based on the distance to oncoming vehicles and to those ahead of you. It's engineered to maximize road illumination without creating glare for other drivers.
