Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert
When the Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) detects a vehicle, it illuminates a warning indicator on the appropriate sideview mirror to help let you know when it’s safe to change lanes. And when you slowly back out of a driveway or parking spot, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert (RCTA) provides audible and visual indicators to warn you of approaching vehicles.
Body Structure and Design
Mirai features a unique frame designed to distribute crash forces efficiently. In the event of a collision, the impact force is distributed around the passenger cabin and the Toyota fuel cell stack and hydrogen tanks, reducing body deformation and helping to reduce the chance of injury.
