Ford Fusion PERFORMANCE 
Gas Powertrains
Standard on the Fusion S, the 2.5L Duratec® I-4 engine is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission and offers an impressive EPA-estimated 31 hwy mpg. There are also two available EcoBoost® engines: the 1.5L and the 2.0L. Both engines combine turbocharging, direct injection and twin independent variable cam timing (Ti-VCT) to help enhance performance and efficiency. They also provide direct fuel injection, piston cooling jets for durability and with the 2.0L, steering wheel mounted paddle shifters.
Intelligent All-Wheel Drive
Intelligent All-Wheel Drive (AWD) sensors balance torque between the front and rear wheels to enhance handling and maximize traction, typically before wheelslip can occur. AWD is available on the SE and Titanium.
Electric Power-Assisted Steering
Electric power-assisted steering (EPAS) automatically adjusts to deliver the precise feel and control you need at higher speeds, as well as the assistance slower speeds require. With drift control, the system detects road conditions such as crowned road surface or crosswinds and adjusts the EPAS to compensate. The EPAS motor also reduces unwanted vibrations in the steering wheel. The result - comfortable driving and responsive steering.
Auto Start-Stop Technology
Available Auto Start/Stop Technology helps reduce vehicle emissions and unnecessary fuel consumption by automatically shutting off the engine when the vehicle is stopped. But don't worry - air conditioning and music stay on, keeping you comfortable. When you're ready to go, the engine seamlessly restarts when your foot leaves the brake pedal. Standard on the 1.5L EcoBoost® engine.
