AMG-enhanced 3.0L inline-6 turbo engine with EQ Boost
The seamless power and natural balance of an inline-6 return with another Mercedes-AMG tradition: a technological leap forward. The lightweight, fully beltless engine is also electrified: An Integrated Starter-Generator can supply up to 21 hp, allow fuel-free coasting, and recapture energy during deceleration. With a twin-scroll turbo and electric auxiliary compressor, the gas engine outputs 429 hp and 384 lb-ft of torque on its own, for quick, efficient response.
EQ Boost Integrated Starter-Generator
Electrifying the inline-6 gasoline engine is an innovative Integrated Starter-Generator. It teams with a 48-volt lithium-ion battery and power supply for formerly belt-driven components like the water pump and air-conditioning compressor. These advancements help reduce weight and enhance underhood packaging. In addition to boosting power and torque for immediate response, EQ Boost delivers this performance in a more fuel-efficient, lower-emission manner.
NANOSLIDE cylinder wall technology
The cylinder walls of the diecast aluminum block are created in an AMG-patented process that benefits performance, efficiency and durability. NANOSLIDE® technology uses a twin-wire arc spray to coat the bores with an ultra hard layer that's honed to an ultralow-friction, mirror-like finish. Without the added weight of cylinder liners, the bores and lightweight forged pistons are matched with even greater dimensional precision, for more immediate and consistent power over a longer service life.
AMG High-performance Composite Braking System
Using principles proven in racing, the braking components are engineered for enduring stopping power in high-performance driving. All four wheels feature 14.2-inch perforated and ventilated discs. The front discs are grasped by powerful 6-piston fixed calipers finished with grey paint and white AMG logos.
AMG Performance Exhaust System
Two additional internal flaps near the tailpipes let the driver escalate its sound at the push of a button, either directly or via the modes of AMG DYNAMIC SELECT. The system's free-flow design delivers an audible celebration of power with every upshift, downshift and rev. Computer-control of the flaps base their operation on engine speed and load, to assure full power delivery regardless of the system's sound output.
AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive
A specially engineered version of 4MATIC® can instantly vary the front-to-rear torque distribution in precise response to driving conditions and driver inputs. It can even send up to 100% to the rear wheels. An electromechanical coupling between the front and rear axles is controlled based on an elaborate matrix of driving mode, lateral and longitudinal acceleration, and available grip to optimize handling and acceleration right up to the physical limits, on virtually any road or track surface.

AMG body styling
Bold and muscular yet flowing, AMG lower bodywork enhances both aesthetics and aerodynamics. The deep front apron features a color-keyed splitter, plus large air intakes with a single horizontal strake in each outer air intake. Flared side sills bridge the wheel arches and visually hug the road, while the rear valance outlines the four round tailpipes and black central diffuser insert.
Multistage active rear spoiler
An electronically controlled spoiler deploys in five stages of angle and height based on speed and driving mode selection. From 0 to 50 mph, it lies flush for a clean appearance and protection while parked. From 50 to 87 mph, it rises 2.5 inches to optimize drag and efficiency. Above 87 mph, it reaches 5.1 inches to optimize air resistance and stability at speed. Additional settings, lower or higher, are engaged at certain speeds in Sport+ mode or when highly dynamic driving is detected.
19-inch AMG 10-spoke wheels
Aerodynamically enhanced 19-inch AMG alloy wheels feature a machine-polished silver finish and 10 ultra thin spokes. High-performance tires are staggered in width (255/45R19 front and 285/40R19 rear) for greater acceleration grip without sacrificing crisp steering feedback.

The standard rear cabin features a pair of seats that are individually contoured for two, divided by a console area with open storage. Dual-zone automatic climate control
Separate left and right temperature controls allow the driver and front passenger to enjoy personalized comfort. Active Brake Assist
Radar-based technology can alert you if you're approaching a vehicle ahead, or even some stationary objects, at a speed and distance that suggest a collision is likely. As soon as you start to brake, it can automatically provide an appropriate level of braking to help prevent a collision or reduce its severity. If you fail to respond, it can also initiate braking automatically at a range of driving speeds. The system can also detect and react to crossing pedestrians at typical city speeds.
ATTENTION ASSIST
The first system of its kind, ATTENTION ASSIST® continuously monitors up to 70 parameters of driving behavior, and can automatically alert the driver with both visual and audible warnings if it detects signs of drowsiness on long trips.
