AMG SPEEDSHIFT TCT 9-speed transmission
Specific AMG programming of the 9-speed automatic transmission delivers quicker gear changes in the paddle-shifted Manual mode. In the Comfort, Slippery, Sport and Sport+ modes of AMG DYNAMIC SELECT, the wide range of closely spaced ratios offers an ideal blend of smooth, efficient performance in virtually every driving situation, from relaxed cruising to quick acceleration. Three overdrive ratios further enhance highway fuel efficiency.
ECO Start/Stop system
An ECO Start/Stop system automatically shuts off the engine at stoplights and other idle situations, to save fuel and reduce emissions. As soon as the driver lifts off the brake, the engine instantly restarts, for immediate acceleration response. The ECO Start/Stop system can also be shut off by the driver at any time.
ESP Dynamic Cornering Assist
An advanced torque-vectoring system adds control and precision in turns via targeted rear-wheel braking. If the vehicle's Electronic Stability Program (ESP) detects understeer while cornering, Dynamic Cornering Assist applies the brake to the inside rear wheel, temporarily shifting torque distribution in favor of the outside wheel. This causes the vehicle to gently pivot in response, putting it on a line of travel, or vector, better suited to the turn.
Hybrid Integrated Starter-Generator
Electrifying the inline-6 gasoline engine is an innovative Integrated Starter-Generator. It teams with a 48-volt lithium-ion battery to supply power for formerly belt-driven components like the water pump and air-conditioning compressor, reducing weight and enhancing underhood packaging. In addition, the electric assist can generate additional, gas-free power and torque for immediate response.

Power sport front seats with memory

PRE-SAFE
A Mercedes-Benz first, PRE-SAFE® can detect instability during certain vehicle maneuvers that suggest a collision or rollover is imminent. It can then tighten the front seat belts, adjust the front passenger seat, and close the windows and sunroof, all in an effort to better prepare the occupants and restraints in the moments before a collision. If no accident occurs, the seat-belt tensioners reverse, and you simply readjust your seat, open the sunroof and continue on your way.
9-way air bag protection
An advanced system of 7 air bags offers 9-way occupant protection. Dual two-stage front air bags, combined thorax/pelvic bags for driver and front passenger, a driver's knee air bag, and side curtain air bags for both seating rows are standard.
Adaptive braking technology
Adaptive braking technology integrates a suite of advances. If you lift off the accelerator quickly, Predictive Brake Priming can set the pads closer to the discs for more immediate response when you apply the brakes. In the rain, Automatic Brake Drying can periodically apply the brakes just enough to sweep water build-up from the discs. During uphill starts, Hill-Start Assist can help prevent unwanted rollback. And a brake HOLD feature can make long red lights or stopped traffic a little easier.
GUARD 360° security system
GUARD 360°® offers enhanced vehicle security beyond the standard antitheft alarm. An innovative system can help detect if your parked vehicle experiences certain types of impacts that are likely to cause damage to it. The system can push a damage notification to your phone via the Mercedes me connect app, and can display a notification message the next time you start the car.
