AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive
An electro-specific development of the acclaimed AMG all-wheel drive system can continuously distribute torque to all four wheels with infinite front/rear-axle variability. Markedly quicker in response than mechanical AWD and virtually weightless, the system can calculate and adjust the torque split 10,000 times per minute. The Comfort mode of AMG DYNAMIC SELECT emphasizes efficiency and range while the Sport and Sport+ modes emphasize driving dynamics with a greater rear-axle bias.
Intelligent Energy Recovery with paddles
Paddles on the steering wheel let you vary the intensity of energy recuperated by deceleration and braking during normal driving. Three levels of recuperation are selectable: normal, increased (which can allow one-pedal driving), and none (effectively coasting when you let off the driving pedal). A "D Auto" setting can activate the intelligent ECO Assist feature.
AMG DYNAMIC SELECT
A multimode drive program selector on the console or steering wheel-mounted AMG DRIVE UNIT lets you transform the car's character with the flip of a switch. Four modes (Comfort, Sport, Sport+ and Slippery) alter the drivetrain response, steering effort, rear-axle steering behavior, AMG air suspension, and soundscape. A fifth "Individual" mode allows you to create a mode of your own.
Advanced 108.4-kWh EV battery
A new generation of battery technology in the EQS offers significantly higher energy density. The high-voltage battery's energy content of more than 108 kWh is managed by innovative software, developed by Mercedes-Benz, that can be updated over the air, without a dealer visit, to help maintain its performance throughout its long lifespan. AMG-specific wiring and battery management is tailored to the car's high-performance character.

LED DIGITAL LIGHT headlamps w/lightband
Pioneered by Mercedes-Benz, active LED headlamps can generate light that's perceived much like natural daylight. Along with Active Curve Illumination and Ultra Wide Highbeams, DIGITAL LIGHT technology can project visual alerts into the driver's view. A variety of icons can appear on the illuminated roadway, to help alert you to vehicles in your blind spot, pedestrians, or lane drift.
The dark side of brilliance.
The AMG Night Package brings darkness to light. Black or black-chrome exterior elements include the mirrors, window surrounds, and front air dam accents.

Intriguingly detailed and aerodynamically optimized AMG® wheels combine strength, lightness and unmistakable style. Four design options, sized 21 or 22 inches and in silver or black motifs, are all 10 inches wide for an aggressive stance.

Innovative Touch Controls elevate the multifunction steering wheel to an unparalleled level of user-friendliness. Finger-sensitive buttons access features like audio, Bluetooth® and cruise control. Four smartphone-like pads offer direct control of countless cockpit features. The upper touchpads operate the menu screen in the gauge cluster or the central multimedia display. Larger, lower touchpads let you vary your cruising speed or adjust the audio volume, all with your hands on the wheel.

A twin-spoke design makes the AMG Performance steering wheel more enjoyable than ever. In addition to its contoured side grips, flat-bottom design, and aluminum AMG recuperation paddles, each spoke places its own Touch Control Buttons for more intuitive access by feel alone. AMG DRIVE UNIT performance controls and a heated rim are also standard.
MBUX Hyperscreen
A major achievement in automotive displays, the Hyperscreen unites a 12.3-inch LED instrument cluster, and two Organic LED (OLED) touchscreens measuring 17.7 inches and 12.3 inches behind a single 56-inch span of high-strength, fingerprint-and scratch-resistant aluminum-silicate glass. Features include a dozen haptic actuators to provide tactile feedback for key controls, and an innovative "zero-layer" menu concept. Eye-tracking and light-sensing abilities enhance ease of viewing.
Voice Control with Natural Language Understanding
Memorizing fixed voice commands is a thing of the past: Artificial intelligence makes the Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) a future you can live today. Vehicle functions for a wide range of features respond to natural, conversational phrases. For example, say "I'm cold" and MBUX can adjust the climate control. It can even learn new phrases over time, and respond with more flexible and friendly language as well. The system can also distinguish interaction from every seat.
Biometric authentication
You can personalize up to 800 vehicle settings, from music programming to seat comfort, and save them in any of seven user profiles. Features can even be set up via the Mercedes me connect mobile app, when you're away from the car. Your Mercedes me connect PIN identifies your profile, or you can use a built-in fingerprint reader below the central touchscreen. The system can also recognize your voice and your face. Profiles can even be used in multiple cars.
Heated rear seats
Electrically heated outboard rear seats offer soothing warmth with individualized comfort. Three levels of warming automatically step down after several minutes, while automatic shutoff means the driver need not worry if the passengers forget to turn them off.

PARKTRONIC with Active Parking Assist
Active Parking Assist can search for suitable parallel or perpendicular parking spaces to either side as you drive by. Choose a space to pull or back into, and it can expertly shift, steer and brake for you. When it's time to leave, it can also steer you back out. In any low-speed maneuver, PARKTRONIC sensors in the front and rear bumpers help detect nearby objects within their field of view. Audible signals and illuminated displays in the cabin help you navigate tight spaces with confidence.
Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC
A Mercedes-Benz innovation, radar-based Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC® can adapt your cruise control speed to the flow of traffic. If the vehicle ahead slows to a stop, it can brake to a full halt. If traffic moves within 60 seconds, it can proceed automatically. It can even team with the navigation's Electric Intelligence to optimize acceleration and speed for maximum range, or for a desired charge status at your destination. You can also vary system dynamics via MBUX.
Evasive Steering Assist
This breakthrough system can instantly activate if you initiate an evasive maneuver while the vehicle's sensors detect an impending risk of collision with a pedestrian in your path. The system can provide a calculated steering force to assist you in executing the move, then help ease the straightening of the vehicle in the adjacent lane after the maneuver.
Acoustic Vehicle Alert System
At speeds below approximately 20 mph, special sound generators in the front and rear of the vehicle emit an EQ-specific sound to help pedestrians notice its approach. The sound changes volume and pitch as speed increases, starting to fade above 12 mph as natural rolling noises overtake the need. The system can also emit a widely recognized repeating tone when Reverse gear is selected at any speed.
