Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe PERFORMANCE 
2.0L inline-4 turbo engine
The 255-hp 2.0L inline-4 turbo engine combines numerous advances to deliver more performance from less fuel. Its rapid-multispark ignition and high-pressure Direct Injection can fine-tune themselves every few milliseconds to optimize performance, efficiency and emissions. An intercooled twin-scroll turbocharger and CAMTRONIC variable valve lift help deliver all of the engine's 273 lb-ft of torque from just 1,800 rpm, for vigorous response when taking off, merging or passing.
Selective damping system
Engineered specifically for performance driving, selective damping automatically adjusts the individual shock absorbers based on the road surface and the driver's current driving style. Valving inside each shock absorber automatically firms up during stronger body motions for sharper handling feedback and stability, and reduces the damping rates during gentler motions for a smoother, more composed ride.
DYNAMIC SELECT
A multimode drive program selector on the console lets you transform the car's character with the flip of a switch. Four modes (ECO, Comfort, Sport and Sport+) alter the throttle response, shift points and steering effort, plus the ECO Start/Stop system. A fifth "Individual" mode allows you to create a mode of your own, even letting you set the transmission for purely manual shifting.
9G-TRONIC automatic transmission with shift paddles
With a greater range of ratios and shorter steps between gears, the 9-speed automatic changes gears quickly but nearly imperceptibly. Along with a more seamless delivery of power, the lighter, more versatile transmission enhances quiet riding comfort and fuel-efficiency. The electronic selector and shift paddles let you control all gear changes with your hands on the steering wheel. And drivers can vary the shift modes via the innovative DYNAMIC SELECT system.

LED headlamps and taillamps
With longer life, quicker illumination and beams that approximate daylight even more closely than xenon headlamps, the multi-element LED headlamps can enhance both vision and visibility in nighttime driving. Bright white LED Daytime Running Lamps and all other front light functions are integrated within the flowing sculpture of the headlamp assemblies, making the design as appealing as it is illuminating. Wide, horizontal taillamps feature an all-LED design with a three-dimensional design.
Power tilt/sliding sunroof
At the touch of a button, the tinted glass sunroof tilts up at the rear for ventilation, or slides open for a breezy view of the sky. An express feature fully opens or closes the roof with a single touch, and a manual sliding sunshade helps block out unwanted sunlight.

Heated front seats
Electrically heated front seats quickly take the chill out of even the coldest day. Three levels of warming automatically step down after several minutes to the lowest setting.
Power-folding side mirrors
The side mirrors can be folded in at the touch of a button, adding convenience when parked in tight quarters. You can also program the mirrors to fold automatically when you remote-lock the vehicle, then unfold upon unlocking.
Power liftgate
For added convenience in the rain or with an armful of packages, you can fully open and close the liftgate via a switch on the driver's interior door panel or a button on the SmartKey remote. Press a button on the driver's door or the underside of the liftgate and it powers itself closed. A sensor automatically stops the liftgate if it detects an obstruction, and you can set the system to limit the opening height, useful under low ceilings.
Steering-wheel with Touch Control Buttons
Innovative Touch Controls elevate the multifunction steering wheel to an unparalleled level of user-friendliness. In addition to fingertip buttons for features like audio, Bluetooth® and cruise control, smartphone-like pads offer direct control of nearly every cockpit feature. Swiping through menus is easy: Your left thumb operates the menu screen in the gauge cluster, and your right thumb controls the large central screen without taking your hands from the wheel's leather-wrapped rim.
Touchpad controller
A large touchpad controller on the console lets you operate the in-dash central touchscreen while your hand rests comfortably at your side. The large touchpad works a lot like your smartphone, including multitouch gestures like swiping through menus and pinching to zoom. The touchpad surface includes dedicated Back, Skip and Home virtual keys, and even recognizes handwriting. Adjacent one-touch hard keys access major functions and include a programmable "favorite" button.
64-color LED ambient lighting/illuminated front door sills
A network of LEDs can create not just a soothing ambience in the cabin, but one you can alter to suit your mood, or even create one. The 64 selectable colors and adjustable brightness let you control the atmosphere like never before. Active Brake Assist
Radar-based technology can alert you if you're approaching a vehicle ahead, or even some stationary objects, at a speed and distance that suggest a collision is likely. As soon as the driver starts to brake, the system can automatically provide an appropriate level of braking to help prevent a collision or reduce its severity. If you fail to respond, the system can also initiate braking automatically from speeds up to 65 mph, and can help activate the features of PRE-SAFE®.
ATTENTION ASSIST
The first system of its kind, ATTENTION ASSIST® continuously monitors up to 70 parameters of driving behavior, and can automatically alert the driver with both visual and audible warnings if it detects signs of drowsiness on long trips. With enhanced sensitivity, the system can also help detect drivers who begin their trip drowsy, and offer more useful information to drivers along their journey via a dashboard display.
Surround View System
The Surround View System uses cameras in all four directions to compose a single, live overhead view of your immediate surroundings. Displayed on the in-dash screen during low-speed maneuvers, it can help you avoid obstacles as you negotiate tight spaces, whether you’re moving forward or backing up. A special mode lets you zoom in to help you line up your GLC and a trailer to attach it to the available hitch.
PARKTRONIC with Active Parking Assist
As you drive by parking spaces, Active Parking Assist can help you size them up using sensors in the bumper. Once you decide to back into a space, it can expertly steer and brake the car for you. When it's time to leave, it can even steer you back out. In any low-speed maneuver, PARKTRONIC's ultrasonic sensors in the front and rear bumpers help detect nearby objects within its field of view.
