3.0L inline-6 turbo engine with mild hybrid drive
The seamless power and natural balance of an inline-6 have returned to the Three-Pointed Star with another Mercedes-Benz tradition: a technological leap forward. The lightweight, fully beltless engine is also electrified: An Integrated Starter-Generator can supply up to 20 hp, allow fuel-free coasting, and recapture energy during deceleration. With a twin-scroll turbo and electric auxiliary compressor, the gas engine outputs 429 hp and 384 lb-ft of torque on its own, for swift response.
ECO Start/Stop system
A fuel-saving ECO Start/Stop system automatically shuts off the engine at stoplights and other idle situations. As soon as the driver lifts off the brake, the engine instantly restarts, for immediate acceleration response. The ECO Start/Stop system can also be shut off by the driver at any time.
9G-TRONIC automatic transmission
With a greater range of ratios and shorter steps between gears, the 9-speed automatic changes gears more quickly but nearly imperceptibly. Along with a more seamless delivery of power, the lighter, more versatile transmission enhances quiet riding comfort and fuel-efficiency. The electronic selector and shift paddles let you control all gear changes with your hands on the steering wheel. And drivers can vary the shift modes via the innovative DYNAMIC SELECT system.
DYNAMIC SELECT
A multimode drive program selector on the console lets you transform the car's character with the flip of a switch. Four modes (ECO, Comfort, Sport and Sport+) alter the throttle response, shift points and steering effort, and AIRMATIC® suspension. A fifth "Individual" mode allows you to create a mode of your own, even letting you set the transmission for manual shifting.

The Remote Start feature lets you start your car's engine from the Mercedes me Mobile App on your smartphone. In extreme weather, it's a great way to pre-condition the cabin comfort by giving the climate control up to a 10-minute head-start on your arrival. LED logo projectors
When you open a front door, special filters and LED lamps project the iconic logo of Mercedes-Benz on the pavement. In addition to welcoming you in unmistakable style, the illuminated logos help you see puddles or uneven pavement as you enter your vehicle.
Panorama roof
Offering both front- and rear-seat passengers sweeping skyward views, this fully functional glass sunroof features a front panel that can either tilt up for ventilation or slide over the rear panel for an open-air feeling. Dual interior power shades with controls allow the driver and each rear passenger to adjust the amount of sunlight entering the cabin.
Electronic trunk closer
For added convenience in the rain or with an armful of packages, you can fully open the trunk via a switch on the driver’s interior door panel or a button on the SmartKey remote. Press a button on the underside of the trunk lid and it powers itself closed. A sensor automatically stops the lid if it detects an obstruction while closing, and the opening height can be easily set to a lower limit for low garages.
12.8-inch OLED touchscreen central multimedia display
The large, portrait-oriented 12.8-inch central touchscreen employs Organic Light Emitting Diode (OLED) technology. Comprising several organic layers under a high-strength glass surface, the OLED display offers numerous benefits to LCD displays. Requiring no external backlighting, the active pixels can appear clearer and crisper, while overall energy consumption is reduced. Pressure-sensitive response and haptic feedback can help provide a more intuitive touch experience.

Active Lane Keeping Assist
With technology to monitor ordinary road markings above a certain driving speed, Active Lane Keeping Assist can help detect unintended drifting off-course, and alert you by vibrating the steering wheel. If you continue to drift, it can selectively brake individual wheels to help guide the car back. Enhancements help it alert you to overtaking vehicles, vehicles you'd need to overtake if you change lanes, and even traffic in the adjacent lane or along the road edge for safer evasive moves.
9 air bags
An advanced system of 9 standard air bags offers 11-way occupant protection: There are dual two-stage front air bags, a driver’s knee air bag, front and outboard rear side-impact air bags, and side curtain air bags for both seating rows.
LED Intelligent Light System with Ultra Wide Highbeams
Pioneered by Mercedes-Benz, active LED headlamps can generate light that's perceived much like natural daylight. Active Curve Illumination and Adaptive Highbeam Assist continuously vary the beam pattern of the LEDs in each headlamp to help maximize the illumination of corners and straightaways, without creating glare for other drivers. An Ultra Wide Highbeam feature is designed to better illuminate the road and the environment along either side.
Surround View System
