The standard direct-injection SUBARU BOXER engine provides 182 horsepower and features Auto Start-Stop Technology with a combined fuel economy of up to 35 MPG** highway. With an expansive 18.5-gallon fuel tank, this gives Legacy over 640 miles of total highway range12 – taking you farther on your daily adventures. A 260-horsepower direct-injection turbocharged SUBARU BOXER engine is also available, generating 277 pound-feet of torque.
Capability
The standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system in the 2023 Legacy is designed to optimize traction in rain, snow, and on bad roads. It constantly evaluates acceleration, braking, and cornering in real time to continuously deliver power to all four wheels.
