A new generation of battery technology in the EQS offers significantly higher energy density. The high-voltage battery's energy content of more than 108 kWh is managed by innovative software, developed by Mercedes-Benz, that can be updated over the air, without a dealer visit, to help it stay up-to-date throughout its lifespan. AMG-specific wiring and battery management is tailored to the car's high-performance character.

AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive precisely meters torque to the front and rear wheels based on drive modes and driving dynamics. The fully variable, electro-specific system can adapt in fractions of a second.
Boost, reinvented.
Dual AMG electric motors unleash 649 hp, and can send 700 lb-ft of instantaneous torque to all four wheels. RACE START can deliver bursts of up to 751 hp and 752 lb-ft, good for 0-60 in 3.4 seconds.

Dual-zone automatic climate control
Separate left and right digital temperature controls allow the driver and front passenger to enjoy personalized comfort. In addition to fully automatic or manual control of blower speed and airflow distribution, the system senses humidity and windshield fogging. An integrated filtration system helps remove dust, pollen and even odors from the cabin air. And dual solar sensors can team with GPS data to adjust for the angle of the sun, helping keep cabin temperature consistent.
Steering wheel with Touch Control Buttons
Innovative Touch Controls elevate the multifunction steering wheel to an unparalleled level of user-friendliness. Finger-sensitive buttons access features like audio, Bluetooth® and cruise control. Four smartphone-like pads offer direct control of countless cockpit features. The upper touchpads operate the menu screen in the gauge cluster or the central multimedia display. Larger, lower touchpads let you vary your cruising speed or adjust the audio volume, all with your hands on the wheel.

The Burmester® 3D system pairs innovations in mobile audio with legendary quality. A Digital Signal Processing amp can output 710 total watts to deliver a natural sound spectrum in any music genre. A total of 15 speakers includes 3D surround speakers, exquisitely drilled metal speaker grilles, and body-integrated FrontBass subwoofers. Active Blind Spot Assist
At most driving speeds, radar technology can help sense when a vehicle enters the blind-spot area on either side of you, and alert you by illuminating an icon in the appropriate side mirror. If you activate a turn signal while a vehicle is detected, it can sound a warning tone while flashing the mirror icon. And if you begin to change lanes, advanced active technology can help guide the car back by selectively braking individual wheels while a display appears in the instrument cluster.
10 air bags
An advanced system of 10 air bags offers 12-way occupant protection. There are dual two-stage front air bags, driver’s and front passenger's knee air bags, front and rear side-impact air bags, and side curtain air bags for both seating rows.
GUARD 360° security system
GUARD 360°® offers enhanced vehicle security beyond the standard antitheft alarm. It can help detect if your parked vehicle experiences certain impact types likely to cause damage. The Surround View cameras can photograph the area around the car's exterior, taking multiple time-stamped images which can be viewed in the car's multimedia display or via the Mercedes me connect app on your phone. It can also push a damage notification via the app, and display a message the next time you start the car.
Active Speed Limit Assist
Active Speed Limit Assist can detect posted speed-limit signs and, along with information in the navigation system's map database, automatically adapt your cruising speed accordingly. As you first engage DISTRONIC on a drive, the system can also set your cruising speed to match the posted speed with just a single tap of the cruise-control "set" button.
