Rear 265kW permanently synchronous electric motor
Smooth, quiet and rich in torque, the EQS 450+ SUV is powered by an advanced 265kW electric motor that can send up to 355 hp and 419 lb-ft of torque to the rear wheels. The "permanently excited synchronous motor" (PSM) features permanent magnets to generate AC current with high power density and efficiency. An advanced cooling system helps maintain its high-performance consistency during spirited driving and a wide range of climates.
Advanced 118-kWh EV battery
A new generation of battery technology in the EQS offers significantly higher energy density. The high-voltage battery's usable energy content of 118 kWh is managed by innovative software, developed by Mercedes-Benz, that can be updated over the air, without a dealer visit, to help it stay up-to-date throughout its lifespan.

LED DIGITAL LIGHT headlamps w/lightband
Pioneered by Mercedes-Benz, active LED headlamps can generate light that's perceived much like natural daylight. Along with Active Curve Illumination and Ultra Wide Highbeams, DIGITAL LIGHT technology can project visual alerts into the driver's view. During automatic highbeam use, a variety of icons can appear on the illuminated roadway, to help alert you to detected construction zones, pedestrians, lane drift, or following too closely.

Welcome to first cabin. Heated and ventilated front seats offer massage options. The power second row can be outfitted with wireless charging and a removable tablet in the armrest. Fold down all the rear seats, optional third row included, for over 70 cubic feet of cargo space.
Dual-zone automatic climate control
Separate left and right digital temperature controls allow the driver and front passenger to enjoy personalized comfort. In addition to fully automatic or manual control of blower speed and airflow distribution, the system senses humidity and windshield fogging. An integrated filtration system helps remove dust, pollen and even odors from the cabin air. And dual solar sensors can team with GPS data to adjust for the angle of the sun, helping keep cabin temperature consistent.
Six 100W USB-C charging ports
State-of-the-art USB-C connectors allow plug-and-play enjoyment from your compatible devices as well as fast charging of your phone. A total of eight ports are provided throughout the cabin, six of them offering 100W charging. Additional ports are also included with available 3rd-row seat.
EQS Sound Experience
Mercedes-EQ sound experts have created the EQS Sound Experience to team with the standard Burmester® audio. Soundscapes include rich, clean Silver Waves, enthusiastic Vivid Flux, nature-inspired Serene Breeze, and powerful, optional Roaring Pulse, available via over-the-air download. Intuitive, and artfully sculpted, seat-shaped controls help you and your front passenger find your ideal seating positions with 12-way power adjustment, including cushion length. A memory system for each front seat recalls three stored seat positions with the touch of a button. The driver-seat memory also includes the power steering column and side mirror positions. ATTENTION ASSIST
The first system of its kind, ATTENTION ASSIST® continuously monitors up to 70 parameters of driving behavior, and can automatically alert the driver with both visual and audible warnings if it detects signs of drowsiness on long trips. With enhanced sensitivity, the system can also help detect drivers who begin their trip drowsy, and offer more useful information to drivers along their journey via a dashboard display.
Active Brake Assist
Radar-based technology can alert you if you're approaching a vehicle ahead, or even some stationary objects, at a speed and distance that suggest a collision is likely. As soon as you start to brake, it can automatically provide an appropriate level of braking to help prevent a collision or reduce its severity. If you fail to respond, it can also initiate braking automatically at a range of driving speeds. The system can also detect and react to crossing pedestrians at typical city speeds.
Evasive Steering Assist
This breakthrough system can instantly activate if you initiate an evasive maneuver while the vehicle's sensors detect an impending risk of collision with a pedestrian in your path. The system can provide a calculated steering force to assist you in executing the move, then help ease the straightening of the vehicle in the adjacent lane after the maneuver.
Active Brake Assist with Cross-Traffic Function
At certain in-town driving speeds, radar and advanced cameras can scan the area ahead of the vehicle to help detect a potential collision with vehicles approaching or crossing from either side of an intersection ahead, or with a pedestrian in the car's path. When the driver responds to the system's alert by braking, it can precisely apply brake force to help prevent such an accident or help reduce its severity. If it senses a pedestrian in your path, the system can automatically apply the brakes.
