7.3 Liter Engine

The power behind the Stripped Chassis. This standard engine is paired with a TorqShift^® 6-speed automatic transmission for a powerful 325 horsepower and 450 lb.-ft. torque rating while maintain a low 3,750 rpm.⁠2 The 7.3L V8 engine generates the raw power and durability required for the heavy-duty applications typical of a Ford Stripped Chassis.

Torqshift^® 6-Speed With Selectshift^® & Tow/Haul Mode

TorqShift^® 6-speed automatic transmission with SelectShift^® and Tow/Haul mode is designed for rugged commercial-duty applications. The SelectShift feature includes progressive range select (for overdrive lockout) plus full manual. And the Tow/Haul mode automatically compensates for grade and load conditions, delaying transmission upshifts to help reduce the frequency of gear hunting.

Class-Exclusive⁠5 7.3L V8 Gas Engine

The 7.3L V8 gas engine features an output of 335 hp and torque of 468 lb.-ft. at 3,750 rpm. This engine features an overhead valve architecture that generates power low in the rev range to help get heavier loads moving with confidence. It also features a variable-displacement oil pump, extra-large main bearings, forged steel crankshaft for durability and piston cooling jets to help manage temperatures under heavy load.

6.7L Power Stroke^® V8 Turbo Diesel Engine

The 6.7L Power Stroke^® V8 Turbo Diesel engine has a standard power rating of 270 hp/800 lb.-ft. of torque. You also have your choice of available 300 hp/825 lb.-ft. of torque and 330 hp/850 lb.-ft. of torque power ratings. The 6.7L was tested to over 500,000 simulated customer miles, which contributes to a B10 design life of more than half a million miles. The unique inverse-flow design locates the turbocharger between the cylinder heads and the top of the block, with the exhaust manifold inboard and close to the turbo, for faster air displacement and greater power. The standard driver-activated engine exhaust braking restricts exhaust flow to create back pressure for seamless braking and reduced brake wear on downhill grades.
